naviPod enables wireless remote control of the essential iPod audio functions Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track, Volume Up/Down from the comfort of your seat.
The naviPod accessory consists of a distinctive 5-button infrared remote control and a receiver unit that plugs directly into the top of the iPod.
The essential FireWire and Stereo connectors are conveniently passed through so that cables tuck away behind the iPod.

The naviPod for 1st and 2nd generation iPods is compatible with the original 5 and 10 GB iPod (mechanical, moveable scroll wheel) and the 5, 10 and 20 GB iPods (electronic, static scroll wheel). These models are easily recognized by the FireWire-port at the top of the unit, which is not present on later models. Firmware 1.3 or later is required.
