IceBook Bag Collection
is a set of silver and black carrying bags for the iBook 2001 made by West Ridge Designs.
West Ridge Designs is a well-established entity in the Mac market. Bags for Macintosh Plus and Macintosh SE from the same company were legendary in quality and functionality in their time.
iBookBags, West Ridge Designs last creation, took their cues from the innovative design and the colours of the first iBook generation.
The current IceBook Bag Collection offers a differentiated set of bags that cater to the differing needs of different kinds of users.
IceBook Tote
is a classical carrying bag for the iBook 2001.
While the horizontal orientation carries over from the original iBook Bag little else was applicable to the new design. This is due to the new iBook being sleek, rectanglular and, above all, so much smaller than its predecessor.
The compact bag underlines the concept of a truly mobile companion offered by the iBook 2001.
The front pocket will carry important accessories like a power supply, power cord and cables for modem, USB and Firewire.
On the back of the Tote a seperate compartment stores magazines, notes or brochures up to A4 size.
The carrying strap continues as a safety suspension inside the bag for extra protection from accidental bumps on the bottom of the Tote.
IceBook Sleeve Deluxe
is a college-style shoulder bag designed to hold the iBook 2001 plus essentials in a vertical orientation.
A carrying handle and a shoulder strap offer comfortable transportation for both short and long distances. The Deluxe Sleeve's low weight - only 350 g - will not wear you down, either.
A variable compartment under the flap will hold whatever you may need on the move. This zippered compartment has been designed to be as flexible as possible and the variable-length buckled strap keeps up a good appearance regardless of how full you stuff the Deluxe Sleeve.
A seperate compartment on the back of the Deluxe Sleeve stores magazines, notes or brochures up to A4 size without requiring you to open the bag for access.
IceBook Sleeve
is designed as a protective cover for the iBook 2001, preventing scratches or dust from accumulating on your investment.
Originally designed for mobile computer labs in schools the IceBook Sleeve also makes a great companion in car travel.
In both setups the Sleeve's special PowerPort allows you to recharge the iBook without opening the Sleeve.
Outside these special applications the IceBook Sleeve is intended for use only as a bag in the bag - a quick protection from anything else your larger bag may hold!
